Great video again old friend. Maybe you could help me with my Shima, what torps do you prefer? I love the 8km torps but am thinking about trying the 12km
I prefer the 12 km torps. I think the 8 km torps are way too short ranged for how much radar, submarines, and planes are around.
@@Aerroon Deadass no brainer choice to pick 12km. 8, you're risking yourself to be in all variants of radars (even tier 8ish 8.5km) for just a tiny knt of speed. 20km, even slowest BB will avoid it because how slow it is and how high its detection distance is.
@pantheracheaxb747 I have had more monster damage games with 8km torps. When I use the 12 km torps I don't do as well. Using the 8km torps I have had more 200k damage games then I have had 100k damage games with the 12km.
How much money we talking on this thing
It depends. If you have West Virginia '44 and grind all the Dockyard missions, no money. If you play casually, maybe 50-100 USD to complete the Dockyard. If you don't know what the Dockyard is, then you probably didn't do any missions either, and it will cost a lot of money.
@@j_taylor Yeah, it'll take a lot if you haven't done any dockyard at all.
I started playing again hoping to get this, I had a few thousand Doubloons left over (not enough for the early bird discount) and kept picking Try Your Luck on the daily containers to try and get Supers hoping to get enough doubloons to buy the last 2 levels. Managed to get the Doubloons from the super containers, but I got stuck on the "take potential damage" stages and just quit again.
What do you think of the Wisconsin?

@@Aerroon Honestly the short range torps and the long reload times on the main battery never really blew my hair back. I think at the time I just had other more fun things to play and did and I just never went back to it.

I thought DDs are the counter to subs, not the other way around.
I would say it's the other way around. If the sub is completely alone then it's in the DD's favor, but if there are any other ships around then it's in the submarine's favor. It takes a long time to catch up a sub.

Maybe it comes down to positioning? Cause I get some of those broadsides pretty often. Or maybe you just don't notice em (ie you take the shot, but you don't remember that you got a nice broadside presented to you)

What you do when you're attacked by a sub in a carrier? You chase it, he's made a mistake. You have pin point asw. And oil, pings, and spotting will all trigger it.

"This is a pvp game where you're competing against your team. The enemy is for farming" That's the truest ideology for WoWS and why it fails as a great tactical pvp game. Also, the Marblehead is no slouch. People tend to ignore it because it looks tier 3, but it has good guns and torps.

One of the good Battlecruisers for secondary builds or sniping positions but i play the high risk high reward path (secondaries!) , it might be risky once you get to the Hawke.
Really? Secondaries? Does it work well on the Rooke? I never really thought about it. I figured that was more of a German thing.
What is the counter to this? There is no counter. Even with the changes subs are a pain.
You could just not push into the sub or hit your ASW planes.
